The Cedar Lake Chamber of Commerce is inviting Cedar Lake business owners to attend a seminar hosted by Edward Jones and MFS to discuss retirement plans for business owners. The seminar, "2013 Market Insight and Perspective for Business Owners to Save More and Keep More" will be held at Great Oaks Banquets (13109 Wicker Ave. Cedar Lake on Thursday, May 23 at 6:30p.m.
The seminar is free and refreshments and beverages will be served compliments of our hosts. Reservations are not necessary but would be appreciated in order to provide materials for the event. Call the Chamber office at (219)374-6157. |

Kid's Free Fishing Derby

The Cedar Lake Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Kid's Free Fishing Derby on Saturday, June 1 2013 from 8:30a.m. to 12 noon. The derby is open to children ages 2 thru 12. The first 100 youngsters will receive a free cane fishing pole. Bait is offered free to all children fishing. Prizes are awarded for the longest fish. Free hot dogs and chips will be given away to only those participating in the event. |

Come join with hundreds of communities all over the United States and honor our nations flag as the Cedar Lake Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual "Flag Day Parade and Celebration". A short parade will begin at 5:30p.m. at the east side Dairy Queen and march to the Chamber Welcome Center 7925 Lake Shore Drive where the Pledge to the Flag will be read at 6p.m. Local, county and state dignitaries will participate in the event. Refreshments will be served. |

Town Complex Grounds
The Cedar Lake Summerfest Organization, will hold it's 32nd annual 4th of July celebration from Thursday, July 3 thru Sunday, July 7. The event is held at the Cedar Lake Town Complex Grounds, 7408 Constitution Ave. Hours vary. Guests can enjoy an opening day flag raising ceremony each day in addition to the Chamber of Commerce Beer Garden, entertainment, food and beverages, amusement rides and games. Special activities include a 4th of July Parade, Fireworks Displays on 3 days, Knights of Columbus Breakfast, Checkers Tournament, Cardboard Boat Race, Talent Show, Car Show, Citizen and Teen of the Year, Cup Cake Contest, Checkers Tournament, Kids Day, Senior Citizens Day, Teen Scavenger Hunt, Cup Stacking Contest, Girls Bathing Beauty and Boys Super Heroes Contests. Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra

The Cedar Lake Chamber of Commerce will host the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 7:30p.m. The event will be held at the Town Complex Grounds, 7408 Constitution Ave. There is no charge for the concert which is open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs, blankets and snacks and enjoy the prestigious Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra and it's charismatic maestro Kirk Muspratt. A brilliant fireworks show over the lake will end the evening.

The Cedar Lake Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Town Wide Yard Sale on Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 8a.m. to 3p.m. Homes and businesses throughout the community will participate in the event. Anyone interested in participating in the Yard Sale can contact the Chamber at 219 374-6157 to register. A map will be handed out the day of the event to identify registered locations. The cost to be on the map will be $5.00. |

South Shore Country Club
Members and friends are invited to enjoy a day on the links as the Cedar Lake Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Golf Outing on Sunday, August 25 from 9a.m. to 4p.m. at South Shore Country Club, 14400 Lake Shore Drive. The outing will have a scramble format with tee offs beginning at 9a.m. Complimentary food and beverages will be available before, during and after the event. Cash prizes will be given for the Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin etc. Reservations can be made at the Chamber office by calling (219) 374-6157. Sponsorships are available. |

Cedar Lake Chamer of Commerce Parade of Lights
5p.m. Line Up
The Cedar Lake Chamber of Commerce will host a "Christmas Parade of Lights" on Saturday, Nov. 23. The parade will begin lining up at 6p.m. at Hanover Central High School. Entries will leave the school at 7p.m. and go around the lake to the Town Complex Grounds. Santa will be on hand at the Town Hall to meet and greet youngsters. Prizes for the best decorated floats will be given out at that time. There is no cost to enter the parade. To register contact the Chamber office at 219 374-6157. |
